There is a certain freedom in knowing your season and being comfortable in functioning in that season. Your season may not look like you intended, it may not replicate the previous year, it may be different than any norm…and that’s ok. The God of the Universe was and is highly creative. He accomplished things through man in many unique and different ways. We were created in his image so this would lend me to think that our lives will be just as creative in its development and sustainment. I am working to fully embrace the authenticity and freedom in doing life without labels. It has been brought to my attention in a very creative way that I have adopted a very narrow minded and prideful view on a few areas in my life. I choose now to release myself from this self-inflicted, idealistic oppression.

From this day forward: In every moment I will choose to do what is right for me and my family, even when it fits no social mold. I will choose to do what most enriches our lives and supports that season. I will always first seek guidance from my creator and with His spirit dwelling within me I know that my decisions will lead me down the right path. I know that nothing is perfect in this world; so even when the trials of life come, I must pull from His promises to see me through and give me victory.

Wisdom For Mothers

“If mothers could learn to do for themselves what they do for their children when these are overdone, we should have happier households. Let the mother go out to play! If she would have the courage to let everything go when life becomes too tense, and just take a day, or half a day, out in the fields, or with a favorite book, or in a picture gallery looking long and well at just two or three pictures, or in bed, without the children, life would go on far more happily for both children and parents. The mother would then be able to hold herself in "wise passiveness’ and would not fret her children by continual interference even of hand or eye - she would let them be."  Charlotte Mason

Raining Happy Thoughts-Your Passion(s)

We all have this innate desire to pursue something.  Spiritually, this desire is fulfilled through our pursuit of communication & relationship with our Creator.  Physically & emotionally, this desire is fulfilled through functioning in our uniqueness.  So today I tell you, pursue that which makes you happy, that which makes you bubble over with excitement, pursue that activity that is so consuming that hours go by without you realizing and it didn’t even feel like work.  This pursuit should not be about money; no, it should just be about the pursuit of a passion fulfilled.  I’ve learned that every passion simply doesn’t come with a paycheck…and it’s ok!
